Actionstep Adds Experienced SaaS and Technology Executive as CTO
Denver, Colorado – February 13, 2024 – Actionstep, a leading provider of cloud-based legal business management software supporting approximately 40,000 global users, today announced the hiring of Chris Alaimo as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. Chris, a technology executive with over 20 years of experience building and leading high-performance engineering organizations, joins Actionstep to further enhance its legal business management platform to provide a tailored cloud platform midsize law firms can rely on and grow with.
Prior to joining Actionstep, Chris served as CTO for EverCommerce, a leading service commerce platform, where he was instrumental in scaling the company’s SaaS and mobile applications to support rapid growth from $19 million to $700 million in annual recurring revenue, leading to an eventual successful IPO in 2021.
“In recent months, we’ve taken significant strides in strategically expanding our team with top-tier talent in order to best deliver on behalf of our midsize law firm customers. Chris is the ideal addition to our growing Actionstep team,” said Early Stephens, CEO, Actionstep. “With his blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and growth mindset, Chris will make an immediate impact not just internally but especially with our midsize law firm customer base.”
Chris has extensive experience managing global engineering teams, optimizing modern technology stacks, and leading due diligence and integrations for mergers and acquisitions. He has previously held leadership technology and engineering positions across data storage, telecommunications, and software.
“I am thrilled to be joining such a talented and committed team all aligned to help law firms maximize their legal technology investment to support their clients,” added Chris Alaimo. “My focus is on further expanding and improving our development functions in New Zealand and North America. We are working to leverage the technology of our recent acquisition of Soluno as part of Actionstep, and we also want to accelerate the delivery of innovation and valuable functionality that matters to our midsize law firm customers globally.”
In 2023, Chris received the Colorado CIO ORBIE Award, recognizing him for innovation and excellence in technology leadership.
