What is a law firm client portal?
Actionstep’s law firm client portal is a complete legal portal for clients and lawyers to collaborate on documents, view matter updates, and chat securely and in real-time. The client portal saves law firm professionals time eliminating the need to leave the matter being worked on.
Simple, secure client communications
Email is great, but sometimes clients just want to hop in a chat. Actionstep’s legal client portal is built for encrypted communication and document exchange, making it a secure real-time chat, no matter where you or your client are located.
Actionstep automates specific client communications enabling you to update clients without having to leave the matter you’re working on.
Customize external party access
From within each matter, you can set client access to the client portal. Setting permissions for users will help you control whether your clients can read, create, upload, or delete documents by folder.
The “upload only” setting allows clients and external parties to upload documents to a folder, but not see the contents of that folder, ensuring confidentiality.
Get notified when documents have been uploaded
Each time a document has been uploaded or updated in the lawyer portal, clients will get notified by email. There is also a built-in portal notification, located in the alert bar within Actionstep.
